What Sleekio can see
The honest, plain-language version. No legal fog — this is how the product actually behaves.
Sleekio only touches what you explicitly send it
When you press the mic, your audio is processed to produce your text. When you tap the sparkle, the text in that box is processed to polish it. That's the entire list. Sleekio never reads pages in the background, never watches you type, and never harvests fields you didn't point it at.
The mic records only while it's red
Recording starts when you press the mic and stops when you press it again — the glyph pulses red the entire time, and an × sits next to it to discard instantly. Discard means discard: the audio is deleted from your machine and the server is told to drop anything already uploaded.
Your audio's safety net lives on your machine
Until your transcription is safely delivered, the audio is kept locally in your browser — so a network failure never costs you a recording. It deletes itself after successful delivery, or after 24 hours, whichever comes first. It is never re-uploaded except when you explicitly press Retry.
Incognito stores nothing
In Incognito windows, Sleekio keeps no history and learns nothing — silently, with no setting to remember.
History is yours to pause or clear
Your transcription history lives on your device (7 days, text only), exists so a lost dictation is never truly lost, and has a one-tap Pause history switch — which also pauses all learning while it's on. Every item can be deleted individually, or all at once.
Learning is off until you turn it on
Sleekio can learn your writing habits — but only from text you chose to process, only after you explicitly enable "Learn my voice", and never from passive observation. What it stores is a small style profile plus your personal dictionary, both visible and editable on your dashboard, both deletable with one click.
What leaves your machine
- Audio you record — sent for transcription, then discarded server-side.
- Text you polish, translate, or draft — sent for processing, returned to you.
- Anonymous reliability counters — e.g. "insertion succeeded on this site", never any text or audio.
What never leaves: your history, your recovery audio, anything from pages you didn't invoke Sleekio on.
Who processes it
Your audio and text go to Sleekio's own servers, which pass them to the speech-recognition and language-model services Sleekio runs on to produce your result. Those services receive only the content of that one request, under their API terms, and Sleekio keeps no copy of your audio once the text is returned. We never sell your content, never use it for advertising, and never use it to train models. Your account (email, name, plan) and usage totals are stored so the service can meter your plan; payments are handled by Stripe, which never shares your card details with us.
Deleting everything
Your dashboard has a delete-profile button that removes your account, your style profile, your dictionary, and your usage records. It works, it's immediate, and we don't ask why.
